County approves consulting study to address Bridge 351 load posting
Jackson County approved a supplemental agreement with United Consulting for load-rating analysis, traffic control planning, and INDOT coordination to evaluate a lane-restriction alternative that could remove the current load-posting restriction on Bridge 351.

Commissioner Drew Storey updated the Jackson County Board of Commissioners on Bridge 351, reporting recent load-rating evaluations resulted in a load-posting restriction. Storey said the county consulted with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and began exploring a lane-restriction and revised traffic control approach that could preserve safety while removing the restrictive load posting.
