Sheriff reports 142 incarcerated, multiple vacancies and facility maintenance needs

Sheriff Brian Schenck told the committee the jail population was 142 incarcerated individuals at the time of the report, including 13 federal and 13 local board-ins and several parole-related detentions. He said the department currently has 10 vacant Deputy Sheriff and 1 LPN positions in the jail and two vacancies in the Road Patrol Division.
