City Operator Bobby Archer told the council that a drinking-water sample in May returned a positive coliform reading, but three immediate re-samples all tested negative and the city did not issue a boil-water notice.
Archer said he had scheduled Roto-Rooter in June to clear a partially blocked line at the wastewater plant that was affected by tree roots. He also acknowledged a new volunteer who mowed the lawn at City Hall. Archer left the meeting early to attend other business.
