Trappe Council narrows trash placement window, reopens hearing through Nov. 5
The Trappe Town Council unanimously amended Ordinance 6-2025 to require residential refuse be set out no earlier than 2:00 p.m. the day before collection and removed by 8:00 p.m. on collection day; the council reopened the public hearing to accept comment through Nov. 5.

The Trappe Town Council voted unanimously on Oct. 1 to amend Ordinance 6-2025, changing the hours when residents may place refuse at the curb. Commissioner Brian Schmidt moved to require that refuse be placed "no earlier than 2:00 pm on the day prior to collection and trash containers must be removed from the street no later than 8:00 pm on collection day," a change the council approved without objection.
