Wasco County accepts $18,260 annual U.S. Forest Service patrol allocation

Chief Deputy Scott Williams reviewed a proposed annual modification to Wasco County’s continuing agreement with the U.S. Forest Service for national forest patrols. Williams said the base contract runs through 2028 but undergoes yearly adjustments to secure an annual allocation; he requested the board accept the $18,260 allocation that funds patrol personnel in the forest. He explained a one-time $75,000 surplus from the Forest Service two years earlier had been fully expended and the contract returned to its standard annual amount.
