At the Aug. 3 special meeting council members asked whether local data-center projects had already secured utility capacity. A council member noted ProLogis "has their electric already reserved, bought, and paid for," and counsel confirmed ProLogis had secured capacity. Counsel said Amazon/AWS "appears to have reservations as well," though the city is not party to those agreements and the council has no direct control over private utility contracts.
