Commission appoints representatives and elects officers for next year

At the meeting’s end the chair appointed Commissioner Owens to the Coastal Map Review Committee (Barnes as alternate) and commissioners nominated and approved the chair for another year and Commissioner Kennedy as vice chair.
At the conclusion of public hearings on Aug. 4, the Washoe County Planning Commission made several internal appointments and nominations for the coming year.
The chair appointed Commissioner Owens as the planning commission’s representative to the Washoe County Coastal Map Review Committee and named Commissioner Barnes as the alternate representative. Commissioners then moved to nominate the chair for another year; the motion carried and the commission voted to re-elect the existing chair. Commissioner Nelson nominated and the commission confirmed Commissioner Kennedy as vice chair for the next year.
These appointments and officer selections were adopted by voice vote and recorded in the meeting minutes.
