The board approved several routine personnel and administrative items. Human Services and Veterans Services action items acknowledged a part‑time assistant county veteran service officer position (Dan Birch) effective June 25 and authorized backfill of that role; the board also acknowledged a probationary dispatch position (Desiree Strumble) effective June 2 and authorized filling that vacancy. A county presenter said the veterans office is now serving about 2,104 veterans in the county.
