Amelia County adopts targeted Comprehensive Plan update
The Board adopted a targeted update to Amelia County's Comprehensive Plan covering demographics, future land use, natural resources and transportation as required by state code; staff said the update was coordinated with the Planning Commission and the Commonwealth Regional Council.

Lauren Pugh presented a targeted update to the Amelia County Comprehensive Plan, noting the review required by Section 15.2-2230 of the Virginia Code and that the update focused on demographics, future land use, natural resources, transportation, and goals and policies. The Planning Commission recommended approval following its public hearing and staff described the update as guidance tied to infrastructure availability rather than binding development approvals.
