Panel updates trails language to 'shared-use' and approves recreation edits
The commission approved changing plan language to emphasize multiuse/shared-use trails and to add modest recreation-investment text (including snowshoeing), motions that passed by voice vote during the meeting.

The commission revised draft language to be more inclusive of different trail uses and of non-motorized recreation. Members agreed to change a phrase describing "walkable communities" to broader wording such as "multiuse" or "shared-use trails," and voted to accept additional edits that include references to cycling and to add snowshoeing in county park descriptions.
