Jason Anderson, commander of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 27, briefed the commissioners on plans for the Tippecanoe County veterans stand‑down and resource fair scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026. Anderson said the stand‑down will run 9:30–11:30 a.m. followed by a public resource fair from noon to 2 p.m. He listed confirmed partners and in‑kind donations including bus transportation, coffee, catering, dental hygiene kits, socks and other hygiene items and said more than 50 community partners had committed to provide medical assessments, haircuts, job-placement assistance and other supports.
