Mapleton board approves recodification to modernize village ordinances
The board voted to proceed with a recodification of village ordinances after trustees said the existing code needs updating; neighboring municipalities were cited as examples with completed codes.

Trustee Jennifer Bassett moved to approve a proposal to recodify the Village's ordinances; Trustee Terri Baker seconded and the motion passed by roll call with the members present voting yes. Mayor Rhonda Hodges and trustees discussed that Bartonville and Limestone have recodified codes and Bellevue is also working on recodification.
