The Village of Cairo Board of Directors voted on Oct. 27, 2025, to enter a closed session under Section 610.021(1) to discuss "Legal actions, causes of action or litigation." Trustee Chris Zike made the motion to go into closed session and Trustee Megan Brumley seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Chairman Vanessa Joseph called the meeting to order at 5:27 p.m. The roll call recorded Vanessa Joseph (Chairman), Phil Bowden (Trustee), Chris Zike (Trustee), Megan Brumley (Trustee), Amanda Cox (Clerk) and Randall Barron (Attorney) as present. The closed-session roll call later notes attorney Blake Hill participated by phone. The minutes record the meeting was adjourned at 6:44 p.m. on a motion by Chris Zike, seconded by Vanessa Joseph; all voted unanimously. The minutes are signed "Respectfully Submitted" by Amanda Cox, Clerk.
