The Sevier County Beer Board voted unanimously on April 13, 2026 to approve an on‑premise permit for Island Pointe GC, LLC, doing business as Island Pointe Golf Course at 9610 Kodak Road in Kodak.
Owner Daniel Feehan told the board the site is the property formerly known as River Island Golf Course. In response to a question from Chairman Greg Haggard, Feehan said, "yes, he had bought the property back in 2010 and did have a beer permit up till 2019." He added that the course currently sells beverages at the clubhouse on the Knox County side and is looking to expand beverage‑cart sales onto the Sevier County side of the property.
Greg Houk moved to approve consideration of the on‑premise permit; Dale Hill seconded. The motion passed unanimously with all members present voting in favor.
The approval restores the course’s ability to sell alcoholic beverages on the Sevier County portion of the property, subject to the board’s permitting conditions and any follow-up administrative requirements.
