An application has been submitted to the county for a Community Development Block Grant to fund a feasibility study and initial planning for a Covelo fire-hydrant project; the MAC discussed the project and agreed it remains a work in progress with potential future grant and parcel-tax steps.

During old business, Lew Chichester gave an update on the Covelo fire-hydrant project and said he submitted an application to the County for a Community Development Block Grant to fund a feasibility study covering planning, initial engineering, LAFCo review and groundwork for a future parcel-tax measure. The minutes state: "He submitted an application to the County for a Community Development Block Grant for the feasibility study for the fire hydrant project."
