High school exit interviews and 90% attendance rule credited with boosting senior attendance
Assistant Principal Woodrow said exit interviews, trip incentives and a three-year attendance policy requiring 90% attendance to walk at graduation have increased senior attendance to about 94%; students who fail exit interviews receive follow-up counseling and make-up opportunities.

Assistant Principal Tyler Woodrow told the board that senior exit interviews are a meaningful graduation requirement and that students who fail an interview are given feedback and additional opportunities to pass. "If they don't pass, they bring them back in explaining what they need to do better... we have them come in after school, with one of our counselors," he said.
