Trustees for the Taft Independent School District voted Nov. 18 to approve a construction delivery method for the new Taft High School following a presentation by the AGCM Project Management team. The motion, made by Trustee Greg Benedict and seconded by Trustee Miranda Benedict, passed 4–0 with Trustees Manuel Banda, Sylvia Montemayor and Paul Luis Treviño recorded as absent.
Board members directed that the approval include a 10-day delay or earlier to proceed with the project, per the motion recorded in the minutes. The decision followed an informational presentation by the AGCM Project Management team outlining the recommended delivery approach for Bond 2024-funded work. No further votes or amendments were recorded on the item.
