Valley View ISD trustees voted unanimously Aug. 29 to approve the district’s Optional Flexible School Day Program (OFSDP) for the 2024–25 school year following a brief public hearing. Interim Superintendent Dr. Monica Luna presented the proposal on behalf of VV High School Principal Jesus Garza; the hearing opened at 6:34 p.m. and closed at 6:35 p.m., and no members of the public spoke.
The board approved the program by motion of Claudia Coronado, seconded by Jaime Gaona. The action was recorded as carried unanimously. District officials said the item was presented by administration and recommended for approval; no amendments or public objections were recorded during the hearing.
