District presents 2024–25 TAPR overview and STAAR-related instructional changes

Mike Jones reviewed the 2024–2025 TAPR report in detail for trustees, describing STAAR scores at the state, region and district levels and summarizing college, career and military readiness (CCMR), SAT/ACT and CTE program information.
Mr. Jones also summarized the new STAAR test design and explained how district instruction and interventions—including WIN time—are being adjusted to respond to assessment data. The report framed upcoming STAAR interim tests and Mock STAAR as drivers of WIN intervention and enrichment activities.
Elementary and secondary presenters also described assessment schedules: Mrs. Dowdy noted mid-year MOY assessments and a scheduled Dr. Seuss Day on Feb. 28; Mr. Adkins said the second semester is off to a good start and listed upcoming testing and spring extracurricular activity.
