Phase 2 interior work 74% complete, board hears; contingency balances reported

The Veribest ISD board on Oct. 14 received a construction update that placed Phase 2 at roughly three-quarters complete.
Project Superintendent Jason Bramlett with Gallagher Construction Services reported: "Total Budget Phase 2 $9,696,092.00; total completed and stored to date $7,222,026.00; percentage of completion is 74%; construction contingency balance $431,606.00; owner contingency balance $123,351.00." Bramlett said the remaining interior punch-list items are in progress.
Superintendent Mandy Traylor and project staff discussed sequencing for move-in and outstanding corrective work. The district confirmed a target move-in date for Phase II spaces (furniture delivery projected Oct. 24) and said remaining work would be managed so instructional activities could begin on schedule.
