Board adopts multiple policy revisions on second reading

The Monroe board approved a package of policy amendments on final reading, covering conflict of interest, textbook adoption, employment for co‑curricular activities, student conduct, grant fund management, an AI policy and public complaints; the motion passed 7–0.

Superintendent Shaw presented a package of policy revisions and new policies and recommended their adoption on second and final reading. Shaw summarized the items in the packet, including revisions on officers, several conflict-of-interest policies, textbook adoption, employment for co‑curricular and extracurricular activities, student accidents and conduct, grant fund management and an artificial‑intelligence policy. "If a policy has an 'x' next to it, that means we accepted it," Shaw said while explaining the packet's markings.
