District staff present construction update, SHAC report, benchmark data and student support programs

Waller ISD staff presented a series of informational reports during the May 14 meeting. Director of Construction Scott Walker provided an update on projects approved by voters in 2022 and 2024; Deputy Superintendent Angie Davis and committee members presented the SHAC (School Health Advisory Council) 2025‑2026 Annual Report, and assessment and curriculum leaders presented spring benchmark data highlighting growth areas and targeted action plans.
Director of State and Federal Programs Kim Seiley and At‑Risk and Highly Mobile Liaison Dean Guerra described the district CARE Closet, a student support resource. Director of Student Services Jeff Furrh said the district will reapply for the EAF (Effective Advising Framework) grant to continue professional development and advising tools. These items were presented for information; no board action was required during the meeting.
