The board approved the superintendent’s 2024–25 evaluation on a unanimous vote and then considered the superintendent’s contract. After discussion Brandy Schoener said she was not comfortable approving the contract as written based on data she reviewed from TASB and TEA; Mark Freeman voiced support for the contract. Beau Williams moved to approve the superintendent’s contract effective Feb. 16, 2026 through June 30, 3031; the motion passed with a recorded dissent on the contract vote (6–0 with Brandy Schoener recorded as "no").
