Plan commission unanimously recommends Village adopt North Riverside Comprehensive Plan
After a presentation by Northern Illinois University and staff, the Plan Commission voted unanimously to forward the draft 20-year Comprehensive Plan to the Village Board and adopted findings that incorporate public safety concerns and community input.

The Joint Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously on Feb. 19 to recommend the Village Board adopt the Village of North Riverside Draft Comprehensive Plan, with formal findings that incorporate public safety and public comment. Peter Hughes, the Community Development Director, presented staff’s recommendation and stated, "Staff finds the draft Comprehensive Plan to be in the best interest of the Village and supports its adoption."
