The board voted to authorize the superintendent to certify to the Texas Education Agency that the district complies with the laws required by new Section 39.008 of the Texas Education Code. Trustee Carol Cannon moved the authorization and was seconded by Trustee Angela Bull; the motion passed with a recorded vote of Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
