Committee elects officers and prepares for select-board workshop on Aug. 5

Stephanie Gaskill nominated Peter Allgaier for committee chair and the committee voted by roll call; the motion passed unanimously. The chair later noted that the select board invited advisory committees to a workshop on Aug. 5 to revisit committee charges given expanded staff capacity and to clarify which tasks should be handled by staff.
Members discussed the value of the recent committee merger, which they said improved responsiveness to citizen comments, and flagged e-bikes and micro-mobility as emerging issues outside the committee—charge that merit select-board attention. The committee agreed several members would attend the workshop to hear the select board—s perspective and to raise questions about advisory roles and development review coordination.
