Mike Botelho read an update from Julie Bonello on behalf of the Planning Commission: a Master Planning Work Group has been created with the goal of completing the Master Plan in 12 months. Letters of intent to begin the Master Plan were sent to neighboring communities and utility providers.
The commission identified four potential consultants, held one‑hour information sessions with each, and issued a request for proposals accepted by Oct. 17. The Work‑Group planned to meet Oct. 21 to select a consultant; next steps include scheduling a kickoff meeting with council, department heads and the Planning Commission, and drafting the first community survey.
