Commissioners accept grants, leases and routine payments during April session

The board also authorized submission of a Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness grant to Ohio EMA for up to $25,650 with a required 20% local match; accepted a $1,500 grant for Reentry programming from The Young Woman’s Mission; approved leases for the Deaf Community Resource Center ($3,000/year) and Miracle Whalen ($310/month); authorized payments including $4,899 to Project Woman for marriage license fees and distributions of forfeiture proceeds. Brooke Wagner of Reentry said grant funds would support job‑readiness programming and training supplies and lunches.
