The Elko County Planning Commission recommended approval of a reversion-to-acreage request that would combine three small historic mining-town lots in Jarbidge into a single parcel.
Staff described RTA25-1 as a standard reversion to acreage under Elko County Code Title 5, Chapter 6, noting that many Jarbidge, Midas and similar towns were platted during mining eras and contain very small lots. "As many of you probably know, those lots up in Jarbidge are really, really small, they were created as a mining camp way back in the day," Corey said, and staff said combining parcels in such towns is usually supported.
Michael Andreozzi (High Desert Engineering) represented the Delmo and Anne Andreozzi Family Trust and said the reversion would combine the lots while retaining one livable residence and preserving two historic cabins. Commissioners voted to recommend approval to the Board of County Commissioners; staff noted the item will be forwarded to the county commission for final action.
