Cloverdale principal announced a new school-wide SEL reading program using books by Portland author Trudy Ludwig; every student and participating parents will receive copies and Ludwig will visit for an assembly next year.

Cloverdale Elementary principal (S9) told the board the school will implement a "1 Book, 1 School" social-emotional-learning program next year, using titles by local author Trudy Ludwig. The principal described books selected for different grades (Power of One for general school-wide use; Trouble Talk for 2nd and 3rd graders; Just Kidding for 4th and 5th graders; Sorry for K and 1) and said each child will receive a copy along with parent activities.
