The council approved a contract for replacement of a retaining wall at the Lawrence Community Center, selecting a local contractor after comparing three bids. Parks and Recreation Director Gale Yoder told the council the city budgeted about $10,000 for the project and described differences among bids including mulch inclusion and whether new blocks would be used.
