Sarah Zender addressed the council during the public-comment period and urged elected officials to place a moratorium on data-center development so the community can study long-term effects. "What we can do now is put forth a moratorium of some substantial time frame that is in 6 months, that is in a year," Zender said, adding that she had spoken with several residents who shared the concern.
