Staff: Well 6 pump needs replacement; water-system plan coming
Summary

Adam Lyons, a staff member listed at the meeting, updated the council on several infrastructure items and a pending water-system plan. He said the Department of Health has specific comments the city needs to address and that staff will draft a water-system plan for council review, possibly at the next meeting. Lyons also reported that Well 6 needs a new pump and motor and that staff are seeking bids.
"One of the requests of Department of Health is we need to get well 6 up and running," Lyons said. He added that the current pump and motor are believed to be original equipment installed in the 1990s and that staff will bring estimates back to council. Lyons also said public-works crews have almost completed installation of radio-read meters approved earlier, which should save operational time and costs.
