Planning Commission reports mixed outcomes for two recent township zoning cases
Chair Carl Wesemeyer reported the commission's recommendation was accepted in Huntington Township (ZC-2025-15) but New Russia Township's Trustees rejected a Planning Commission recommendation on ZC-2026-02, which sought rezoning from R1-1 and GB-1 to IP-1 with one exception.

At its March 26 meeting the Lorain County Planning Commission reviewed outcomes for two recent township zoning amendments. Chair Carl Wesemeyer reported that ZC-2025-15 in Huntington Township was approved — the Planning Commission had recommended approval and both the township's Zoning Commission and Trustees accepted that recommendation.
