The council adopted Resolution 2026-05 by unanimous roll call to authorize all actions necessary to accept a Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) 2026 Energized Community Grant and declared an emergency to expedite acceptance. Chris Szell moved to suspend the rules with Suzann Bennett seconding; Ed Frato-Sweeney then moved to pass the resolution with Szell seconding. The vote was 6-0.
