Merced County council reports BHSA integrated plan finalized; programs set to launch July 1
Merced County's BHRS reported that the Board of Supervisors approved the Behavioral Health Services Act integrated plan for FY 2026'12029 and DHCS has approved revisions; the plan will be submitted June 30, 2026 and most programs are scheduled to begin July 1, 2026.

Sharon Jones, a BHRS staff member speaking for Behavioral Health & Recovery Services, told the Ongoing Planning Council that the Board of Supervisors approved the BHSA integrated plan for FY 2026'12029 on June 2, 2026 and that the Department of Health Care Services has approved the revisions: "the plan is now final," she said. The county plans to submit the final plan on June 30, 2026 and launch program operations on July 1, 2026.
