Denis "Denny" Benson opened the Town of Weston Selectboard meeting at 7:30 p.m. before a packed room and Zoom audience. During the public-comment period, resident Ken Hall sharply criticized board conduct and said "the best effective way would be for Jim Linville to resign," adding that others who "allowed or abetted his actions should step down too." Hall provided a thumb drive and formally requested copies of all communications, including emails and text messages, among selectboard members and the administrative assistant for Oct. 1, 2025 through Apr. 28, 2026.
Melissa Hart followed, telling the board their actions "make me sick" and asking for better conduct; she requested that her father-in-law's picture be rehung on the wall. Chair Benson responded that the picture is hanging in the hall. The exchange formed the most substantive public-comment block of the evening and included repeated calls for greater transparency and procedural compliance.
