"We are asking the county to support conducting a comprehensive accessibility master plan," she said, noting the county’s last comprehensive assessment dates back to the 1990s and piecemeal upgrades followed later legal actions.
Members unanimously approved the report and agreed the chair would share it first with the commission’s liaisons in county staff before wider dissemination. Commissioners emphasized they want acknowledgment from the board and an opportunity for follow‑up discussion; one commissioner urged the chair to seek a response so the commission knows how the board received the recommendations. The commission also asked that communications proceed through the appropriate county channels before any media outreach.
