Jennifer presented the Workforce Development Board budget for program year 2026, which begins July 1, and told the committee the region received a 12.5% reduction in federal WIOA funding for PY26. “If you were at the last meeting, you heard me say that we got a 12.5% funding decrease in our federal WIOA funding for PY26,” she said, and added the board reduced the coming year’s budget by almost 20% compared with PY25.
