Village amends code to allow towing as conditional use in I2 zoning district
The Village Board amended Title 10 of the Shorewood Village Code to make towing services a conditional use in the I2 district, responding to a request from Anderson's Towing; the planning commission recommended the change 5–0 despite public opposition at the commission hearing.

On Oct. 8 the Shorewood Village Board approved an ordinance amending Title 10 to add towing services as a conditional use in the I2 zoning district. Planning staff said the change would give property owners and applicants a route to apply for a conditional-use permit and receive Planning & Zoning Commission review and referral to the board.
