Staff and board members discussed technical limitations that could prevent many homeowners from choosing advanced on-site septic systems. The General Manager said environmental-health regulators pointed out setbacks and water-table depth limit options: "the water table is only at 8 feet," he said, and described an example that required two roughly 80-foot leach lines to meet percolation and setback standards.
