Committee recommends adding fences, driveways and small fixes to 'do not require permit' list

Committee members reviewed a checklist of construction items that the village currently treats as not requiring building permits and debated additions to that list, including fences, driveways, gutters, nonstructural wall or door changes, and in-kind fixture replacements. Members said the village currently uses the 2018 code with exemptions and noted some items are handled differently elsewhere in the packet; the committee asked the development subcommittee to refine the list before sending a formal recommendation to the full council.
