Council told Villas at Chester Commons acceptance delayed while developer works with county; residents cannot move in until acceptance

At the May 4 work session, Law Director John Gasior and Safety/Public Service Director Duane Streator briefed Council that the developer of the Villas at Chester Commons has requested the City pause formal acceptance of public utility improvements while it addresses outstanding matters with the County. Mr. Gasior warned that “until the improvements are accepted... no residents will be able to move in,” and said the Administration would have more information before the May 11 meeting.
Council was reminded the developer previously requested removals of the item from prior agendas and that construction can continue prior to formal acceptance but occupancy rules remain tied to final acceptance. The Administration will update Council with developments during the week leading up to the next reading.
