Mapleton board votes to repeal older energy code omitted from update
Trustees voted May 13 to repeal an older International Energy Conservation Code (omitted from the recent building-code update) after attorney recommendation; the motion passed unanimously.

The board voted to repeal the older energy code that was not included when building codes were updated. Attorney Lane Alster explained the board had updated building codes but had not removed the previous energy code; Trustee Jennifer Bassett moved to repeal the old energy code and Trustee Terri Baker seconded. The minutes record the motion passed with all ayes.
