North Bend School Board unanimously accepts 2024 audit

The North Bend School District #13 Board of Directors voted unanimously Dec. 12 to accept the district’s financial audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024.
Director Dallas Petenbrink moved to accept the audit report prepared by Umpqua Valley Financial LLC; Director Michelle Roberts seconded, and the motion passed 7-0. Representatives from Umpqua Valley Financial, Steve Tuchscherer and Ash Lakhani Farishta, presented the audit findings to the board prior to the vote.
Board acceptance completes the formal review of the district’s audited financial statements for the year and places the report on record. The board took the vote after the auditors ‘‘went over the audit report’’ with trustees and answered questions about the district’s financial position and operations.
The board handled the audit vote alongside routine consent business at the meeting, taking no further action tied to audit findings during the session. The district did not announce additional follow-up tasks or deadlines related to the audit at the Dec. 12 meeting.
