District staff described SchoolAI — a teacher-mediated AI tool available to classrooms under strict controls. "This is our 2nd year with access to that," Morgan Cave said, adding that teachers must set up student access aligned to a lesson and that teachers retain ownership via a dashboard that records student interactions. Officials emphasized that student access is restricted, purpose-driven and monitored; the district will continue a cautious, measured rollout.
