The Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees held a special meeting Sept. 30, 2024, to review recent safety incidents and the district's response. Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg described the criminal intake procedure and addressed parents' concerns about how cases are handled after incidents are reported to law enforcement. Board members engaged staff in follow-up questions about coordination between the district and law enforcement and about supports for affected students. The update produced discussion but no formal board action; later the Board moved into a closed executive session that included deliberation on security deployment and personnel matters.
