Board to replace elementary gym floor using insurance proceeds

The Valley Mills ISD Board of Trustees voted to replace the elementary gym floor at the Feb. 19 meeting. The motion, moved by Jim Blackford and seconded by Jake Wolf, passed unanimously and the minutes state the replacement will be funded with insurance proceeds drawn from designated fund balance.
Trustees also discussed— but took no action on— a proposal to designate fund balance to make a payment on a maintenance tax note for the football complex. The minutes record the discussion and that no decision was reached on the football-complex funding at this meeting.
