Board discusses asbestos policy and a wireless security pilot

Board members asked whether previously completed buildings had all asbestos removed. Superintendent Shaw said the district addresses asbestos where work will disturb it and abates piping or ceiling areas as projects require, rather than removing material that will never be disturbed. "If it's intact and it's not gonna be disturbed ever, you leave it alone," Shaw said.
