On Jan. 7, 2025, the West Rusk County Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a special Team of Eight training workshop in the West Rusk CCISD boardroom. The session at 6:00 p.m. was led by Drew Howard, Field Service Director with Region 7, and focused on "Evaluating and Improving Student Outcomes" and Team of 8 governance practices.
